If you are a student, you must study well. If you are the head of a family, you must fulfill your responsibilities towards family and work properly. If you are retired, you must perform your duty according to this stage. And if you have renounced the world in order to delve deeper into the contemplation of reality, you must firmly adhere to this path. If you follow D’arma to the best of your ability, doing your duty consciously and sincerely, then there will be no worry or suffering. Arjuna had to fulfill his duty on the battlefield. But he was full of attachments and illusions, so he suffered. Lord Krishna taught him how to become free from attachments and illusions. When Krishna finished His teaching, He asked Arjuna:
“Have your attachments and illusions disappeared?”
Arjuna replied:
“My blind attachment is completely destroyed. All illusion has disappeared.”
Blind attachment is Moha. Liberation is Moksha. As long as you are suffering from Moha, Moksha is not possible. As long as you are in illusion, you will be in a state of slavery. Moksha has nothing to do with worldly pleasures. This is not an air conditioned room or plush seating. This is the destruction of illusions and attachments. Moksha consists of the words Moha and Kshaya, which means the complete destruction of Moha, burning away all worldly desires and illusions.
