It all began in Lucknow, where Ranveer developed a deep love for food. He faced opposition from his family regarding his choice of becoming a chef but he followed his passion despite the challenges.
After graduating, he joined the prestigious Taj Palace and dedicated himself to his work, eventually earning a promotion to Executive Chef at a young age. He then ventured into opening and managing restaurants in Goa with the Taj group, experiencing success and feeling on top of the world.
However, his journey took a downturn when he decided to open his first restaurant in Boston. Struggling to adapt to the unfamiliar culture, the restaurant had to be closed within two years. Ranveer faced financial difficulties and was on the verge of homelessness. Despite this setback, he found solace and inspiration while cooking langar in a Gurudwara, reigniting his love for food and helping him through that challenging period.
Ranveer eventually found a job. But then, his father got diagnosed with cancer. He rushed back to India in fear of losing his father. His father, who was his pillar of strength, assured him that nothing would happen to him. Ranveer got so inspired by his father’s fearlessness that he found the power to start all over again.
Today, the Celebrity chef, Ranveer Brar is one of the most loved and followed chefs in India. Host of popular television food shows, author, and judge, Ranveer has set up many restaurants in India and abroad. He is the second-highest earning celebrity chef in India.
