Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Bhagwan Devnarayan Temple, the idol of Gurjar community in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara, 8 months ago.
At that time, PM Modi had put an envelope in the donation box of the temple. Everyone was curious about the exact amount of money in the envelope dropped by Modi.
The amount in this donation box was counted yesterday. It is a ritual to open the donation box of the temple only once a year.
The priests of the temple claimed that Prime Minister Modi had put a white envelope in the donation box during the visit.
After a long wait, Malaseri Dungri priest Hemraj Poswal opened the envelope in front of the media. The white envelope Modi dropped in the donation box contained only Rs 21.
There were a total of 3 envelopes in the donation box. One of them was dropped by PM Modi. Other envelopes contained Rs 101 and Rs 2100 respectively.
After the news broke out, Rajasthan Seed Council President Dheeraj Gurjar targeted PM Modi.
“Prime Minister Modi was present on the 1111th manifestation day of Lord Shri Devnarayanji. At that time he had promised that whatever I had given to the Gurjar community, I had put it in the donation box of this temple. But after opening the donation box today, the nation and the Gurjar community have seen the 21 rupees that came out of the envelope”, said Gurjar.
“Is this your development? Have you given this gift to the Gurjar community?”, he asked.
In January, Prime Minister Modi attended the 1111th Quotation Festival of Bhagwan Shri Devnarayanji in Bhilwara, Rajasthan.
