The revised National Council of Educational Research and Training history book for Class 12 has dropped chapters on the Mughal empire, the 2002 Gujarat riots and popular movements. NCERT books are followed across the country in thousands of schools.<\/p>\n

Times of India has reported that the chapters under the sub-head \u2018Themes of Indian History: Part 2,\u2019 of the Class 12 history textbook, which are related to \u2018Kings and Chronicles; the Mughal Courts (C. 16th and 17th centuries)\u2019 have been removed.<\/p>\n

Chapters titled \u2018Central Islamic Lands,\u2019 \u2018Clash of Cultures,\u2019 and \u2018Industrial Revolution\u2019 have been removed from the Class 11 book Themes in World History.<\/p>\n

The news agency PTI has reported that in the class 12 political science textbook, pages on the topic \u2018Gujarat Riots\u2019 have been excluded from the chapter titled \u2018Recent Developments in Indian Politics\u2019.<\/p>\n

The mention of the National Human Rights Commission report on the 2002 violence and the \u201craj dharma\u201d remark by then Prime Minister Atal Bihar Vajpayee has been dropped from the textbook.<\/p>\n
