We saw this wolf spider on a clutch of eggs laid by the wrinkled / night frog. Ironically two different frogs had laid a clutch of eggs on either side of the leaf. You can see the tadpoles inside the opaque eggs. What was evident was that it was an ideal situation where a torch light could yield a better result than using a front flash.

The first image shows the cluster of the eggs on which the spider was. Btw the spider doesn’t harm the eggs.

The second image is when I used a torch to lit up the leaf from the other side.

The third image is of another cluster of eggs on a different leaf. You can’t see the tadpoles inside the eggs if you shine the light from the front because of the texture on the eggs. But the tadpoles can be seen very clearly when you light it up from behind ?

@canonindia_official #macro #frogs #tadpole #glidingfrogtours #india #forest #westernghats

[1
1602,6610,31278,98,7310,31277,31276,14753
